Nearly 500 Scientologists gathered in Budapest to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Budapest Ideal Organization on Váci Road.
Inaugurated ten years ago, the six-storey religious centre has become a centre for worship, education and community activities. The anniversary included a religious service, live music, a photographic and video retrospective and a presentation looking toward the coming years.
Over its first ten years, news europe the Budapest church has also hosted drug-prevention conferences, human-rights events, humanitarian meetings and interfaith dialogue. These activities are connected with social betterment programmes inspired by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
